Chair Blocks have been designed to help alleviate the discomfort experienced by musicians when using poor seating at rehearsal halls, theatres, concert and gig venues.
They encourage good posture by raising the chair legs, keeping knee height below the hips. You can flip your blocks upside down to choose one of two height settings to achieve the best posture.
Chair Blocks have been tried and tested by professional musicians at many venues across the UK, enabling me to create the most versatile posture aid. With studies showing over 60% of contract musicians experiencing chronic back pain, it’s vital we do our best to limit an avoidable issue that can make a musicians life a misery.
Recent clients include the London Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, as well as individuals from prominent UK orchestras such as the the London Mozart Players, Opera North and English National Ballet. Many West End, studio, freelance musicians and education establishments are also using Chair Blocks.
There are three models available, from the larger Strad to the smaller Amati model.
The Rocca models are the same size as Strad & Amati, but also include a cut away for use with 'bar chairs’ as well as standard leg chairs.

Combining the Strad and Amati or Rocca large and small models provides up to seven height and angle options to help achieve the most comfortable playing position possible.

Amati Chair Blocks
Designed for musicians who require minimal adjustment or use the same chair more regularly. Can also be used in combination with the Strad model.

Simply flip the blocks to achieve your desired position depending on your chair.
Each pair of Chair Blocks is designed with two height settings - Strad model raises chair legs at 35mm and 53mm, whilst the smaller Amati model raises at 22mm and 35mm.

Individually handmade in England from solid hardwood, Chair Blocks are durable, functional, affordable and beautifully made. Leather cord is available as an optional extra to assist carrying your blocks on and off stage whilst also carrying your instrument.
The blocks are compact and finished in a smooth wax to assist minor movement whilst in use.
You can also choose to personalise your blocks by having them stamped with your name and contact number in case they are misplaced. This option is free.
